NEW YORK, NY, (August 6, 2025) IntusCare, a technology leader in the PACE market,  is honored to be named a finalist in the Emerging Technology category of the McKnight’s Excellence in Technology Awards.

The long-running program honors providers and marketplace players that convey how technology has improved care and operations. Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards will be granted in 16 categories. The program is a joint effort of McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, McKnight’s Senior Living, and McKnight’s Home Care.

IntusCare’s submission spotlighted how its partnership with Palm Beach PACE (PBP) has allowed the organization to achieve measurable and transformative outcomes through the adoption of IntusCare’s emerging technologies—specifically the Population Health Analytics Platform, Utilization Management as a Service, and Population Health as a Service. This collaboration not only improved operational efficiency and care quality but also set PBP on a clear path toward achieving its strategic financial and clinical goals.

The initiative unified fragmented participant data into a single, actionable view. This visibility laid the groundwork for informed decision-making across departments, sparking a cultural shift from reactive to proactive care. Read the full case study here.

Key metrics demonstrating success to date include:

  • 70% improvement in the ratio of observation vs. inpatient hospital stays, saving $1,200 per participant per stay day.
  • 12% reduction in emergency room treat-and-release visits per 100 member months (Q1 2025 vs. Q1 2024).
  • 9% reduction in inpatient admissions per 100 member months during the same period.

“The McKnight’s Tech Awards are a great way for providers and vendor partners to highlight collaborative efforts that improve caregiving processes and operations,” McKnight’s Editorial Director John O’Connor said. “These efforts inspire peer organizations and help the industry address its biggest challenges. With a high-caliber set of entries showcasing cutting-edge tools and forward-thinking strategies, being named a finalist is a true reflection of innovation and leadership in senior care.”

“We are honored to be a finalist for this year’s McKnight’s Tech Awards, and proud to highlight a replicable model for innovation applicable across senior care organizations,” said Laura Ferrara, Chief Population Health Officer, IntusCare. “Together, Palm Beach PACE and IntusCare have demonstrated that an emerging technology, when built specifically for the PACE environment and paired with strategic support, can achieve both mission-driven and financial results at scale.”

New this year, the recognition will be part of a two-day virtual event on September 16 + 17, which will include several tech-focused educational webinars and conclude with the awards ceremony. Nominations were judged by an external panel of industry experts.
